Senior Analog Design Engineer (W/M)

As subsidiary of an industrial group based in Grenoble, IC’Alps designs analog and digital integrated circuits (“ASIC-Application Specific Integrated Circuit”) for the other units of the group and external customers: 50% for medical applications, and 50% for consumer, automotive, industrial and other markets… Bringing together recognized experts in France, we are experiencing rapid growth and, to reinforce our analog team, are looking for:

Senior Analog Design Engineer (W/M)

Your missions

  • You technically pilot the preliminary studies, in relation with the customer and with the various actors: you are able to evaluate different architectures to achieve the better power-area-performance trade-off  required for a project, until the final choice of the architecture and establishment of the specification of the ASIC
  • You lead, debate and present the choice of architectures and design status during review meetings within the project team and in front of customers
  • You participate in the circuit design with the other designers, debate within the small team of experts on the best trade-off and in a concern of continuous improvement of the methods of conception
  • You support and challenge junior analog designers during the different phases of a project, and share with them your experience
  • You are involved up to the silicon validation and test of the circuit and the qualifications required in the application, until launch in production
  • You are the technical guarantor in front of the customers of the performances of the circuit in accordance with the specifications

Your Profile

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) in microelectronics
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in analog design, especially in high performance data conversion domain: ADC (TI-SAR, Pipeline), DAC (Current Steering), with mastery of different stages of architecture analysis and robust design/layout practice
  • Experience with seeing a project through from beginning to completion with strong customer interaction
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently but with a strong team spirit, while being a real force of proposals
  • Leadership and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity, interest for final applications, rigor and requirement in the quality of work
  • Fluent English / Nice to have: French
  • Bonuses: knowledge of medical applications, knowledge of ISO13485:2016 and its implications for design
