Functional Safety Engineer in IC'Alps

As subsidiary of an industrial group, based in Grenoble and Toulouse, IC’Alps designs analog and digital integrated circuits (“ASIC-Application Specific Integrated Circuit”) for its customers: for automotive applications, but also for medical, security, industrial and other markets… Bringing together recognized experts in France, we are experiencing rapid growth and, to reinforce our design team, are looking for:

Your missions as a Functional Safety Engineer

  • Collect and analyze customer specific needs on Functional Safety.
  • Oversee the implementation of functional safety across the project lifecycle, following ISO 26262 standards.
  • Ensure traceability of safety requirements and verification activities throughout all stages of development.Perform qualitative and quantitative safety analysis: FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFA.
  • Participate in audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety processes, methodologies, and toolchains.
  • Stay up to date with evolving in safety standards and regulations.

Your Profile

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent) in microelectronics.
  • 3 years’ experience in functional safety in the automotive industry, with 5 years’ experience as microelectronics engineer.
  • Trained to the ISO26262 standard and ideally certified as “Functional Safety Engineer-level 1 or 2”.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently but with a strong team spirit, while being a real force of proposals.
  • Leadership and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curiosity, interest for final applications, rigor and requirement in the quality of work.
  • Fluent English / Nice to have: French.
