An Analog Physical Designer (W/M)

As subsidiary of an industrial group based in Grenoble, IC’Alps designs analog and digital integrated circuits (“ASIC – Application Specific Integrated Circuit”) for the other units of the group and external customers: 50% for medical applications, and 50% for consumer, automotive, industrial and other markets… Bringing together recognized experts in France, we are experiencing rapid growth and, to reinforce our analog layout team, are looking for:

Your missions

  • You are in charge of the layout analog and mixed circuits (Top and Functions like ADC, PLL, LDO, RX, TX …) with multi-founders in bulk and SOI technologies from 0.35 µm down to 7 nm
  • You are the technical guarantor of the good understanding and implementation of the Design Rules Management (DRM) to be checked while taking into account our customers’ constraints
  • You participate in the circuit design with the other designers, debate within the small team of experts on the best trade-off and in a concern of continuous improvement of the methods of conception
  • You manage chip Tape-outs including full verification, reviews and archiving with Top-down approach and respecting the development flow
  • You contribute to setting up flows, for the sake of continuous improvement of design methods

Your Profile

  • Formal education in semiconductor analog layout/mask design (diploma/certificate)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an analog layout design team
  • Good knowledge of linux environment and EDA Tools: Cadence Virtuoso, Mentor Calibre, Synopsys Star RCXT
  • Good Understanding of foundry process
  • Experience with seeing a project through from beginning to completion with strong customer interaction
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently but with a strong team spirit, while being a real force of proposals
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Good listener and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Curious, passionate
  • Fluent English / Nice to have: French
  • Bonuses: knowledge of medical applications, knowledge of ISO 13485:2016 and its implications for design
